The movie harps on the periphery of Dom Cobb's ability to travel in human's subconscious and scheme a plot, rather than steal a thought from someone's subconscious. He is granted a chance to redeem his life and loved ones, but only if he succeeds in producing the desired results of planting a plan in a subconscious mind. If he fails, an irreversible catastrophe might betide him. The adventurous sci-fi trudged the roadway of dreams and subconscious theory and showcased the expertise on Dom Cobb's part.

Christopher Nolan's indefatigable attempt to 'present the unpresentable', proved right when the movie bagged four Academy Awards, and got nominated for prestigious accolades like British Academy Film Awards and was nominated for the Golden Globe Awards. However, there were no two on the movie's DVD release, and a plethora of fans queued up to buy it. It got released on December 7, 2011. The movie turned out to be the biggest blockbuster in the history of American sci-fi.
