13 Assassins

Lord Naritsugu is the son of the former Shogun’s son and the current Shogun’s brother, and he is not someone anyone can trust for anything.

He kills at will, rapes women as many times as he wants. He becomes a real threat for the masses. No one can point a finger at him, simply because of his position in the society. It is then that a senior official realizes that he needs to put an end to this. Naritsugu’s misdeeds cause a samurai to commit suicide and then Shinzaemon is hired to kill Naritsugu. Shinzaemon and his nephew, Shinroukuro along with eleven other brave samurais plan to assassinate Naritsugu. They are promised further aid by samurai Hanbei, who too vows to join forces later.

Each of the 13 is a unique fighter with a unique fighting style. They set out on a dangerous mission, and are met with adversaries and hurdles. Shinzaemon is hell bent on putting an end to Naritsugu’s life. He has to fight with Hanbei, who proves to be a traitor. The sword fight between the two with Naritsugu spectating is quite a spectacle. Hanbei dies when Shinzaemon’s sword puts an end to his life. Naritsugu eventually meets his fate when Shinzaemon stabs him. Unfortunately, by the end of it all, Shinzaemon also passes away.
