14 Blades

Set in the Ming Dynasty of China, 14 Blades follows the events that ensue after the domination of the dynasty by the eunuchs.

The community of eunuchs spurs the entire nation into mayhem by declaring the present government to be incompetent, and promising a brighter future under their reign. They are strongly opposed by The Jinyi Wei, a group of well-trained professionals who are experts in conducting clandestine missions. The members of the Jinyi Wei have been trained since their childhood to solve the purpose of assuring that peace prevails over the kingdom. They are authorized to resort to brutal means for the sake of maintaining law and order in the dynasty, and can execute any wrongdoer who contributes to violence in the state. A noble man named Qinglong is the leader of the Jinyi Wei. He is ordered by the eunuchs, who are now the commanding force, to kill Zhao Shenyan, who is the imperial counselor. He is asked to confiscate the hidden safe box of Zhao and bring it to them, under the pretext of it having the details of the traitors. Qinglong embarks on the mission, believing it to be towards a righteous cause. It is only after he sees that the safe box houses the Imperial Seal that he realizes that he’s been tricked into an ugly ploy. He is soon declared to be a traitor, after which he tactfully forges his escape.

Being equipped with all the tricks of the trade, he soon becomes a member of the Justice Escort Agency, and pursues a detailed plan to protect the emperor and restore his power.
