Life has unprecedented ways of teaching and making one introspect about things that he would not ponder over otherwise.
A sudden crisis befalls the 27-year-old Adam, who’s diagnosed with a rather uncommon form of spinal cancer. With depression and moroseness trying to engulf the young lad, he decides to release himself of those knuckles that bind his very vivacious outlook towards life. Once Adam decides the route that he would be treading on in the days to come, he gets the support of his near and dear ones, who leave no stone unturned in helping him get rid of agony. Those who extend a lending hand to make the entire experience for Adam a hilarious one, include his best friend Kyle, his mother, and a therapist at the cancer center.
The film seems to draw inspiration from screen writer Will Reiser’s real life’s tryst with the pernicious disease. It takes one through the mélange of feelings as Adam has all the hints about the ramifications of malignancy and the outcome it can yield to, despite the best of medical treatment. And in case of Adam, we do feel what it would be like to endure phases of grief that include shock, denial, resistance and acceptance.
