The movie revolves around a character Lake Emerson, an actor, scouring for success in the alleys of tinsel town. Even after trying hard and giving it his best shot, he fails to prove his talent and land up with any project. He finds a way out of this situation and brings on some interesting use of prosthetics to get the lead role in a Broadway project, as an aged man. Moreover, he had to admit himself in a rest home to perform his research work on old age people.

The movie takes a twist as his notions of growing old get in for a change. His experience in the rest home teaches him some lessons on life, changing his outlook towards life and relationships. His time in this old age home proves to be a life changing experience as he forms bonds and relationships that he never believed in. A week at the rest home sees him as a changed man as he is on the verge of a career defining role, as well as a new way of life.
