Battle: Los Angeles

Battle: Los Angeles is a sci-fi thriller that unleashes the manifestation of mankind’s greatest terror- a catastrophic attack on earth by UFOs. The movie, directed by Jonathan Liebesman, brings together an enviable star cast, headed by Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez. The movie sets out on August 12, 2011, which at first sight is just another regular day.

A split-second moment changes the course of events dramatically, as UFOs land on earth, spreading a wave of terror among residents, the world over. What are initially assumed to be meteorites are later revealed to be spacecrafts, housing alien forces that threaten to destroy the existence of humans. The first city to be attacked by these mysterious invaders is Los Angeles. The military forces swarm to the city, helping in the liberation of civilians, as well as attempting to combat the aliens.

At the head of the mission, is Michael Nantz, a sergeant portrayed by Aaron Eckhart. Michael springs back into action after the attack, despite having retired a while back. What follows is an adrenaline-fueled mission, which is intensified by the incessant attacks by the aliens, and the restraint of time, with the agents having just 3 hours at their disposal, to evacuate the entire city. The team of Nantz is faced with the arduous challenge of not only saving the residents of Los Angeles, but also establishing a protocol to be used in other cities across the globe.
