Beautiful Boy

It is rightly said that a troubled married life can produce adverse effects on children. This notion is clearly represented in the movie called Beautiful Boy.

As the film starts unfolding its reel to the audience, they are introduced to Bill and Kate. Bill is a businessman and Kate is a proofreader. Both Bill and Kate devote their entire time and life to their respective professions, and have closed all doors to personal life. They have no time for each other. When the differences go beyond convalescence, they decide to divorce each other. But before they can carry out the divorce, an unfortunate incident hit their life, one that left them speechless. Their only son Sam opened fire at his college, and after taking innocent lives, shot himself down as well. The couple is stunned and could not believe what they heard. But it’s true! Soon, their house becomes the meeting place for news reporters; people flock in front of their house as if it holds a very special significance in the lives of each person.

The incident starts up a media bash and the couple has to face guilt, remorse, rage, and their own personal differences. They are confused and turn to other family members, but find no respite even there. How will the couple deal with one of the gravest scenarios of their life? Can they leave behind the incident their own son has left for them to deal with? Beautiful Boy is a beautiful film, in every sense of the word!
