Burning Bright

Money is the enemy of most relationships, and this is something that has been explicitly showcased in the movie Burning Bright. The story is all about the estranged relation of a daughter with her stepfather.

In fact, the plot of the movie takes the viewers to Montgomery County, where Kelly Taylor is all set to go to college. Along with this decision, she also thinks of taking her autistic brother, Tom, to a specialized institution. There, she wants her brother to get proper treatment, so that he may get better with time. In order to start the required treatment, she saves some funds. But, as the luck would have it, the bank informs her that she does not have adequate funds in her account to honor her check that she had given in the institution, for her brother’s treatment. She gets to know that her stepfather, Johnny Gaveneau, has taken the money out from her account, just the day before. When Kelly arrives home and asks her stepfather, Johnny informs her that he utilized the money in buying a tiger for his 'safari show' project. Apart from this, he also wants to renovate the house, in order to safeguard it from hurricanes.

And this necessitates that all the windows and external doors to be covered with wood. One day, the father accidentally unties the tiger in the house, while the children are sleeping. As Kelly awakens, she finds that the famished tiger is inside the house and the siblings are now trapped! Will they be able to escape? Find out in Burning Bright.
