Cat Run

As the name suggests, Cat Run is a fast-paced, action-oriented movie that incorporates an interesting storyline, replete with twists and unexpected turns. The action in Cat Run centers on an escort, who gets into a whole lot of trouble, with some very powerful people chasing her.

Set amidst some stunning East European locales, the movie starts with a sequence that shows some usual suspects (politicians, Russian mafia, shady gunmen, etc.), indulging in debauchery. Cat, the escort, steals a hard disk that contains some sensitive information that can implicate these powerful people. Thus begins a high voltage chase across a continent, with some dizzying action sequences. Helping the poor girl out are two bumbling detectives in their late 20s, who would rather have not participated in the adventurous joyride, if only they knew any better!  One of them is the loner, Anthony Hester, who has a nascent Holmes waiting to sprout out.

Then, there is the ladies’ man, Julian Simms. And their newly established detective agency, finds the case of Cat a wee bit too hot to handle. Chasing Cat, are a bunch of sinister beings who go by names such as the Enforcer, the Pervert, the Seeker, and above all, a charismatic Helen Bingham (played splendidly by Janet McTeer), who is particularly ruthless and would stop at nothing before she has had her Cat! A perfectly enjoyable thriller, Cat Run is a must watch for action junkies! 

Words like steamy, adventurous and independent thriller can be very well associated with a movie. Perfect beginning and ending give a definite meaning to the entire plot. The center of attraction of this adventure filled movie is its two crime investigators, their investigation bureau and some grave law-breakings in the town. The investigators’ attempt to solve those shocking cases gives a realistic approach to the entire story.

The USP of the movie are its stupendous action sequences and some attention-stealing crime depiction. The maker of the movie has struck a perfect harmony between crime and comedy. The dialogues and its comic punches give an audio-visual treat to the viewers. The gripping factor of the movie is its soundtrack, stunts, wonderful locations, sets and the protagonist. In nutshell, it can prove to be a pleasant watch for adventure and comedy lovers.
