Coriolanus

In this energetically-charged period drama, the tale of Caius Martius 'Coriolanus', the Roman fearing general has been projected. The movie has been set against the backdrop of pre-imperial Rome, where Coriolanus wants to rule the entire Roman Empire with the help of his mother’s strategic schemes. Volumnia, the mother of the aspiring emperor (Coriolanus) wants to see her son on the throne of Rome as a king and for this she controls and channelizes most of his acts.

In order to secure the Senate, he needs the support of the people of the nation but things go haywire, when the populace refuses straightforwardly to support him. In the fit of anger, the General wage a war against those, who don’t want to see him as a king. His frustration and anger induce a riot in the nation and when the things go out of control, then the head of the Senate gives him an order to leave the place. His eviction from Rome triggers a desire for revenge on the people who hate him.

After getting expelled from the country, he unites with Tullus Aufidius, the other powerful entity to take revenge on the city and its manipulated politicians. Coriolanus’ mother is also involved in the same treacherous scheme that has been played against him. On decided day, he marches on Rome with Aufidius to defeat his nemeses. On the other hand, Volumnia wants to persuade her son so that nothing hurts him, but now if he goes against the will of Aufidius then nothing could save him.
