The movie showcases the 9 human emotions, called Navrasa, that unite the world with one another in a dam disaster.

Dam 999 revolves around a 100 year built in India under the British rule. Dam999 belongs to the genre of adventure movies, and has plenty of action when this dam breaks, and wrecks havoc in the surrounding region. The plot has nine main chracters that tread on the lines of the Indian mythology of Navrasa. Durai is the antagonist of the movie. All the major chracters of the movie unite to save innocent lives, as a watery grave awaits one and all. There is a myriad of chracters in the movie that includes Captain Fredrick Brown, Shankaran, Vinay, Meera and a few others. Most of these are mariners, who have been quite hardened.  They have become quite strong and cagey about their emotions.

As the goliath Dam cracks, its surrounding region gets wahsed away in the horrific aftermath of the disaster. The mariners try their best to save the lives of affected people, as they reflect their inner traits that have roots in the Indian mythology. The plot moves on intrestingly, revealing a whole new face of Indian mythology and culture. Dam999 has a surprising end, keeping you hooked on till the very end. Would the mariner-turned heroes be able to save the countless lives that are at stake! Or, would they accept it as their fate as water swoops down on them in nothing less than a few galleons!
