Four Lions

Terrorism is not about ideology every time, but it can also be about idiots! Well, that’s what the movie ‘Four Lions’ is all about.

Four jihadis, who are desperate enough to bring a quake in the world, end up altering their tenets about life. Their own theories prove out to be nonsensical to them, as they involve in an ideology clash, pushing their dreams to the breaking point. Omar, Waj, Barry & Faisal have a secret plan of performing some act of terror. Despite of being incompetent, they are all set to give a final touch to their idea. Omar is totally shattered, seeing the way Muslims are treated all around the world. Waj completely agrees to what Omar thinks or does, as he’s not too brainy to mull over anything that comes his way. Absolutely opposed to everyone on this planet, or I must say universe is Barry, who thinks that he would have had joined some cell, if he had even a bit of self-knowledge. The odd one out is Faisal, who can even make a bomb, but for now he is busy in training crows to take bombs through widows. The Four prove that no one else in this world can be as stupid as they are.

The guys seem pretty alienated to the world around them. Whatever they do or plan, takes the form of a joke itself. The movie is entirely about the immeasurable nitwittedness of the four. It conveys a message that it’s always better to propagate laughter than hatred.
