Hello Lonesome

‘Hello Lonesome’ is an empathetic movie by Adam Reid that interlaces together the lives of six lonely individuals, as they embark on a journey to discover love in their lives, once again.

Coming first in the thread, is an ill-humored voice-over artist, who is left in the lurch, long time back by his wife and is estranged from his daughter for quite some time. The venerable process of ‘lavishing upon’ and ‘getting hand’ on love in life seems to make a comeback for the guy, as he is indulged in an unlikely relationship with his deliveryman. Suburbs away from the twitching tale, there is an aged widow, seeking a soft spot in the heart of her warped neighbor, who is quite young in age, as compared to her. The duo enters into a relationship, comforting each other, after the woman loses her driving license and approaches the guy for some evocative cuddles. Elsewhere in the world is a vernal urban sport aficionado, who falls for a girl online, and finds himself entangled in an affair, where a series of turbulent trials pop up to rattle the cage of dreams of the two.

Things don’t come easy for the individuals, as they negotiate with the need of love in their worlds. However, these couples still discover a sort of pleasure in their connections, as it’s always something unexpected and unimagined that comes their way, which casts magic, all around. How these isolated souls struggle to make the cogs run in an orderly manner, certainly makes for a good film.
