I Will Follow is an interesting movie that lures with its different story. The movie narrates the story of a woman, who steps out of home after her aunt dies. She faces the task of coming to terms with some of the important aspects of her life, including her relationships, career and her past and future.
The lead role of Maye, which is being played by Eureka fame Salli Richardson-Whitfield, a successful artist, on leave from her work to take care of her sick aunt, Amanda. With the death of her dear aunt, who held her closer than her own daughter, Maye is forced to take a new step. She leaves the familiar comforts of her house. As she steps out, she is helped by twelve visitors, who help her move ahead in her life. The movie is an emotional journey of this thirty something woman, trying to face the realities of life. In life’s course, she encounters an array of emotions like guilt, grief, anger, loneliness, perplexity and lack of direction and an eventual release of her pent-up emotions. This movie scores with its effort to understand the emotions of a woman.
