Iniquity is a riveting drama based on a real-life account, which trails the journey of a defense attorney, David Marshall, whose life suddenly changes one day, never to return to normal. David is on the way back to his home in Philadelphia after what is perhaps the most significant victory of his career.
As he sits behind the steering wheel of his car, basking in his glory, he runs short of fuel and has to pull over for a refill. That’s when his eyes meet the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen, standing by the road side. His instinct urges him to ignore her and move on with his journey, but the temptation of talking to her is irresistible. He approaches her and soon learns that she’s in the city to visit her sister, but being unable to contact her, has lost her way. David does exactly what any other man would do in his situation, he offers her help and asks her to join him, to which she gladly agrees. As the journey progresses, they begin to discover each other, and before they know it, they are closer to each other than they can believe. The fact that they are both married soon fades into the background, as they begin to succumb to their passion.
That marks the beginning of the biggest mistake of David’s life. His life as he knows it gradually begins to vanish, as he embraces a new identity. But his relationship with the mysterious woman is just the beginning of it all. When he meets his childhood friends, what begins as a regular reunion turns out to be the revelation of some deep secrets that were better kept hidden. With everything spiraling out of control, David has to devise a plan to conceal his sins and fight for the justice that he’s been denied for long.
