Judy Moody And The Not Bummer Summer

Third grader Judy Moody is just as sad and upset as a little girl her age can be, when she learns that the summer which she’d been so looking forward to, has just been ruined. The reason?

Well, her favorite playmates and ‘partners in crime’, Rocky and Amy have just announced that they’ll be out of the city for the summer. Rocky is off to a circus to acquire skills on how to tame wild animals, while Amy is on a rather quirky mission with her mother, to save a tribe that’s nearing extinction in Borneo. That leaves Judy with a sole companion, somebody she’d rather not even look at, her annoying little brother with an equally annoying name, Stink. Just when Judy thinks that her summer is ruined and she’s doomed to spend the whole of it stuck at home with Stink, does she see a ray of hope. This happens when her parents announce that they’ll be spending the summer at California, which means that Judy will have to move in with her Aunt Opal.

The problem is that this aunt is someone whom Judy has never seen! With her second best friend, Frank Pearl, Judy decides that no matter how this turns out, she’s going to make it a fun-filled escapade.
