Just Like Us

Just Like Us, as the name says it, is a movie which shows the similarities between two generations. It is a documentary in which Ahmad shoots a journey from Asia to the United States of America.

The movie’s beginning is set in places like Dubai and Riyadh, while the real story ends in New York. The basic focus of the movie is on the people who work as stand-up comedians. The movie shows how this field has artists, who strive to deliver the best of their talent, even today. In addition to this, Just Like Us also shows how the East differs from the West. It displays the difference in terms of various cultural activities. The basic mindsets of the residents of the two extreme ends of the world are shown to differ to a large extent. There is yet another remarkable thing which this movie brings to light. Talent, as they say, has no political or cultural boundaries. The new age of comedians, according to the movie, does not believe in this diversity of culture as well as land. They transcend national boundaries and are shown to be ready to welcome cross-cultural ties.

They are shown as people, who are so devoted to this profession of comedy that they hardly have the time to think about things that cause differences between them and their counterparts in other parts of the world.
