When the words ‘martial arts’ and ‘movie’ are uttered together, something that emerges in all our minds is ‘Fist of Fury’ and the legendary ‘Chen Zhen’. The movie is set in a time period before the second Sino-Japanese War, seven years after which Chen Zhen was apparently shot in Shanghai. Chen Zhen’s apparent death was the result of his revenge from the person who was responsible for the death of Zhen’s teacher. When the movie opens, we find the so-thought dead Chen Zhen in the disguise of Qi Tianyuan, who befriends a local mafia boss Liu Yutian in Shanghai, in order to infiltrate the mob which had the Japanese as their allies.
