Like Dandelion Dust

Like Dandelion Dust is the tale of a couple and their adopted child. The film starts by showing a man named Rip Porter being convicted and sent to prison for a certain time period.

The man has a wife named Wendy and a toddler named Joey. Rip is left with no means to avoiding the jail time. Also, it gets impossible for Wendy to take care of Joey, without the help of her husband Rip. So, in the interest of the child, she decides that it would be wise of her to let someone adopt Joey. The film moves on to show a couple, Jack and Molly Campbell, becoming Joey's foster parents. Wendy's decision does not turn out to be wrong, as the couple takes care of Joey, in a way that the kid is more than happy to stay with them. They give him everything that he needs; even more than what he needs. The kid soon becomes very comfortable with them and starts living merrily with his new father and mother. After the passage of some years, Rip's jail sentence comes to an end and he is released from prison.

Now, Rip is a completely transformed man, who wishes to get back with his family. What follows is Rip's demand to get Joey back from Jack and Molly and his aspiration to start living with Wendy and their kid, yet again. According to the rules, Jack and Molly are left with no other option, but to give back the child whom they have stared considering their own. What will Jack and Molly do? What will Rip do next?
