Loosies

Michael Corrente with this movie visually depicts the turmoil that is injected into lives of a fast and the free generation, as soon as it is loaded with responsibilities. Their fast flowing lives though seem exciting on the top, is actually built on pillars so temporary that their entire lifestyle structure comes tumbling down when laden with responsibilities. Bobby is a pickpocket, who depends on luck and opportunity for his meager earnings on the streets on New York. One fine day, he commits the error of his life by wading away with the badge of a NYC detective.

This incident unfortunately draws notice of the detective towards him, as it gets him enlisted on his bad books. On the other hand, he is unable to control his lust at the peak of his youth, and ends up sleeping with this older lady Lucy with merely a one-night stand on his mind. From a one-night stand, their association grows into a three-month old affair that has Lucy pregnant with Bobby’s child. A baby for a man, who let alone stability, does not even possess a permanent shelter for himself.

A world of his reckless lifestyle collides with a new world comprising Lucy, and her child to render his life at present, rather complicated. He knew that with a child and a wife to take care of, he could no longer lead the life of a fugitive escaping from the police; sleeping here and there and thriving on pick pocketed dough and petty thefts. The detective was now on his trail, and Bobby soon has to arrive at a decision- to make amends for his past after coming terms with it and living from then for his family, or despise Lucy, who would be left with little choice, but to let their baby grow up into another neglected criminal.
