MacGruber is an action comedy, directed by Jorma Taccone. The story begins with Dieter Von Cunth (Val Kilmer) who has laid his hands on X-5 missile which contains a nuclear warhead. In a bid to trace him and prevent him from using the weapon, Colonel Jim Faith (Powers Boothe) and Lt. Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) look for MacGruber to assist them in this operation and return to America. They find him meditating in an Ecuadorian monastery and urge him to return to America. He first refuses them but when he hears that the wanted person is none other than his nemesis, Dieter von Cunth, he agrees. Cunth had murdered MacGruber’s would-be wife Casey on their marriage night.
