Machete

Machete is a combination of action and suspense, and shows the story of a man named Machete Cortez. He is way too skilled, when it comes to working as a hired gun, to kill someone.

What makes him completely different from his peers is the fact that he is only game when the person to be killed is cruel or has shades of grey. One day, he is approached by a person who wishes to have a leader killed. Actually, it is a group of people who are unhappy with this leader’s ways and want to put an end to his life. Since they cannot do it themselves, they go on and hire Machete. While Machete does not know what the actual reason for this killing is, he trusts these people and decides to undertake this killing contract. On the decided day, he gets ready to shoot this leader from a distance. A pro that he is, he keeps the eye of an eagle, which helps him come across a person, who is already geared up to hunt him down. With a bullet targeted at Machete himself, he decides not to go on with the killing and finds difficulty in saving his life as well. A series of events lead to his escaping the place alive, and going on a rampage against the people who had given him this contract.

One problem that he faces is that when he turns to his brother for help, he discovers that his brother has chosen the path of peace and benevolence, by starting to work at a church. The priest, his brother, does not help him and the film moves on to show how Machete accomplishes his mission alone.
