Mars Needs Mom, is an adaption of the book of the same name written by Berkeley Breathed. It’s a 3D animation film, which reveals the life of a child without his mother. As far as the story is concerned, it revolves around Milo, who is just a nine-year-old, and his mother is abducted by Martians.
The aliens visit Earth and abduct Milo’s mom, to use her skills as a mom, to raise their own children. One day, when the Martians come to Earth for the same reason, Milo unintentionally enters their spaceship and travels with them, to their world. When he reaches there, he confronts many humans, who have been abducted from Earth. He also meets Gribble, who has been on the alien planet since 1980. During his exploration of the alien territory, he meets a Martian name Ki, who is different from other Martians, and is ready to help Milo. Ki communicates with Milo with whatever English he knows. Apparently, he learnt that much from one of the comedy shows of the 70’s.
Milo sets to find his mother, before the Martians absorb her motherly nature from her. With the assistance of Gribble and Ki, he steadily progresses in his mission. But, will the nine-year-old kid be able to bring back his mother? Will he get the motherly love he took for granted? The concept is highly unique and educational too, letting a person know that they must cherish and respect what they have.
