Fort Hamilton soldier, Samuel Gonzalez Jr., began documenting his day to day experiences during the Iraq war with the help of cameras sent to him from his family back home. He produced and directed his first short film Reverie, in 2009 and provided viewers a snippet of his life.

An old man telling the story of his life in a memoir to his son, is basically the underlying theme of the story. Abandoned as a baby, Jake, the old man’s son is brought up by Mary’s mother. In her on-screen avatar, actor Amanda Brooke Lerner plays a down-to-earth housewife and a great mother.
The mother in her tries to seek compensation in bringing up Jake after she is separated from her own daughter at childbirth.
