New York Says Thank You

A cowardly act by a few militants, which set an entire nation ablaze, wounded in spirit but couldn’t shell the determination of those who fought.

On the fateful day of 9/11 when the twin towers were brought down to rubbles by the terrorist attacks, the tottering victims received help from all across the country, and that’s what this documentary is all about. It is a note of thanks from all those, who sought help and got it in time. New York Says Thank You is actually an organization founded by the survivors of 9/11, who visit the towns and cities all across America, which need help to be rebuilt. The film lays impetus on a small town in Iowa swallowed by a tornado. When the tornado hit the city most of its people were harmed perilously. Four young boy scouts died as they were camping that very day. The ‘New York Says Thank You’ foundation made it a point to help the local people erect a memorial in their name by sending volunteers who would speed up the construction process.

The documentary takes us through the lives of each member of New York Says Thank You, who share their thoughts on how rewarding it is for the soul to help those who need it. It indeed is a touching tale and is bound to cause a tear to trickle down your cheeks.
