A Diego Vega Vidal’s directorial venture, this drama-rich movie focuses on the lives of two characters primarily.
One Clemente, the protagonist of this movie and then it’s Sofia, whose character gains weight gradually as the story progresses. The plot takes a dramatic turn, presenting Clemente, a moneylender who’s ironically quite bothered after his baby’s birth. He is worried since the baby is the offshoot of his amour with an adulteress. At loss of hope to ever get a mother for his newly-born toddler; finally he sees a probable solution to his hopelessness in his neighbor, Sofia. She is a simple woman, who is a devotee of Lord of the Miracles. Thenceforth, Sofia starts nurturing the small baby along with handling the responsibility of housekeeping, while Clemente goes out in search for his baby’s actual mother. This gives Clemente another opportunity to review his worked up relationships with people around him. You will be able to identify with Clemente, who is like any other human, trying to come to terms with his past mistakes and looking for avenues to lead a normal and better life.
But a question surely pops up- Does he eventually fall for Sofia, or is able to get hold of the real mother of his child? The movie is poignant and does tug at the strings of your heart!
