When the third child of John Coleman (Peter Sarsgaard) and Kate Coleman (Vera Farmiga) turns out to be a stillborn, their marriage starts facing problems.They adopt a girl Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman) from a local orphanage.Kate finds that Esther has more knowledge of sex than what is expected out of a child of her age.She goes to the orphanages where Kate comes to know from the head Sister Abigail (C. C. H. Pounder) that Easter is found around the place where something goes wrong.When Esther comes to know about that, she kills Sister Abigail with a hammer.She also convinces Max (Aryana Engineer) who is a deaf daughter of Kate, to hide that hammer in a tree house.John's son Daniel (Jimmy Bennett) decides to look for the hammer to prove Eater’s guilt.Later, they find out that Esther is actually a 33-year-old woman, who is suffering from hypopituitarism that has undersized her physical growth.They come to know that she is very violent and furious.In the end they kill Esther by drowning her into a pond.So if you like such thrillers then watch Orphan video here.
