If you remember reading Alfred Hitchcock’s cult classic ‘Birds’ or watching the version adapted into a movie with the same title (1963), you would instantly relate with ‘Rat Scratch’ movie.
Well, the only trouble is that here the foes aren’t the birds, but the rats! And giant ones at that! Petrifying as the thought may be, the movie is set in the near future in Los Angeles. A space mission goes horribly wrong as a space probe during traveling to a distant planet carries home-giant rats. Steel Space Corporation has no idea about the trouble they are going to bring home, when they send their space craft on a mission to a planet. The astronauts, unaware of the threat, land on the planet, only to be attacked by Giant rats. Alarmed by the threat, they run helter-skelter, managing to escape only just.
But they have no idea what’s in store for them; the rats manage to get inside the space vehicle and make their way through our lands. The spaceship lands in Los Angeles, where the rest of the movie unfolds as the rats leave the city tottering with all the gore and violence in the world.
