A perfect friendship between reality and fiction that unfolds the character of a murderous woman, criminal activities and daunting misfortune, is what the viewers will get to witness in Road to Nowhere.
As the title of the film suggests, the movie discusses lives of characters that lead to nowhere. It puts a fervent filmmaker in the midst of a scary situation. He wants to film his movie, and wants to base it on a true crime. The gorgeous looking but mysterious young woman he casts for the lead role, poses a stark resemblance to that of the woman in the story. The film also puts a powerful person in party politics, bringing out the North Carolina political scandal; a couple of suicides also slip into the story, thereby making things even more labyrinthine. While casting the woman in the lead, the filmmaker, unintentionally, drags himself into a web of schemes, becomes infatuated with the woman, and things related to her.
The filmmaker becomes so engrossed with the woman, that he loses the thread of reality, the understanding of fiction, and gets involved in her disturbing past – he puts himself into a complete mayhem. While the film runs smoothly, baring the complexities of the characters it is being played by, Road To Nowhere leaves you stranded, but not without answers!
