Spoken Word

Spoken Word is a drama centered on a character named Cruz Montoya, who works as a successful poet. He is a celebrity in the West Coast area and uses his poetic ability in the field of rock music. After delivering a successful performance one day, when he is traveling back home, he receives a phone call.

He is informed of his father's critical health conditions, and of the fact that the old man does not have a lot of time left to live. He sets everything, including his career, aside and gets back to his hometown, in order to cater to his father's needs. While there, he discovers that the old man is living a poor life, wherein he has no money for even basic amenities. Also, problems such as drug addiction have taken their toll on him. So, Cruz decides to help his father make his way out of all these problems and he ends up working as the manager of a club. He readily gets employed here, because the owner, who is a known name in the world of crime, is his father's former friend.

Cruz realizes that this way of making quick bucks is not only convenient, but also very efficient. It did not take him long to lose all his poetic abilities and continue with this line of work. In the meantime, bonding with his father came to him as being complementary, along with his work. But is living this life actually worth it? This is something for Cruz to decide and you to find out!
