The Back-up Plan

The Back-Up Plan  is a romantic comedy directed by Alan Poul. The movie is about a woman named Zoe, who decides to become a single mother after finding that her age is crossing its limits.

The day she conceives twins through artificial insemination, she meets Stan. She instantly realizes, that Stan is the guy who will make a perfect father for her babies. Initially she hesitates to tell Stan about her secret of becoming a single mother. But when she spills the beans, Stan readily accepts it. During the next nine months, the two involve in some ravishing romance. They also start to plan their wedding and think about their future. The movie is full of comedy of errors, which makes it quite adorable in spite of having a different storyline.

The story is written by Kate Angelo, who has tried to employ a different angle by bringing in the issue of the getting a baby before marriage. Jennifer Lopez plays the role of Zoe, while Alex O'Loughlin portrays the character of Stan. The title of the movie is fully justified.
