The Disappearance of Alice Creed is a completely surprising movie as it begins with a van being stolen, and then ending with the same van being used.

The movie has some ‘snake in the can’ type twists; where the seemingly demure plotlines weave through a complex web of sex, lies and domination. As the name suggests, the central theme of the movie is a woman named Alice Creed and her disappearance. Around this central theme, revolves the story of two ex-criminals, Danny and Vic. Between the two of them, Danny is quiet, unassuming, and subservient, while Vic is ambitious, cunning, and always prepared to use violent means to achieve his goals. Their plan to earn quick bucks comes to fruition in the luscious form of Alice Creed, a young vivacious woman from a rich family who has been debarred by her father from his vast inheritance. One day, Vic and Danny get to lay their hands on her, and take her to a special soundproof room prepared to host her. Vic takes the reins of the whole malicious plan and makes the call to the distressed parents for a ransom of 2 million pounds. But, the cunning and clever Vic is unaware of the alliance between Alice and Danny; forged from the feelings of lust and a desire to steal the money from her dad and then Vic. But their plan was supposed to be foolproof.

Alice was never supposed to know who her captors were but in a series of unfortunate incidents. Out in the open, Alice and Danny indulge in passionate sessions of love-making until Alice makes away with the keys from Danny, leaving him handcuffed to the bed. Therein, begins the tale which will leave you wondering about who’s the victim and who’s the criminal.
