The Divide

The Divide is a post-apocalyptic film which is set in New York City. A nuclear blast takes down the city and millions of lives are lost in the catastrophic blast. Somehow, nine strangers who live in an apartment try hard to save their lives. The building is full of people and only a few can survive. They run and come down to the basement and in that attempt many give away their lives. Only nine fortunate people manage to get into the basement. The basement is nothing less than a bunker which has the ability to withstand the fiercest of attacks like this nuclear bombing.

Mickey, the superintendent is the man behind the bunker.The bunker consisted of just three rooms which are not all that big for nine people.The only best thing about the bunker is that it is safe and has loads of food and water supplies. The occupants are safe from the horror of the attack but, that is not the only fear for them. Out of nowhere, men wearing suits (HAZMAT) barge in the building and start firing.The strangers are in danger and soon they join forces and retaliate. The occupants have no idea that why these men are attacking them and what is the motive.

The HAZMATS are ruthless and merciless as they want the occupants dead.But, the occupants manage to defeat the insurgents and push them out of building.The problems are far from over, as the strangers turn against each other. The supplies are going down and tension begins to rise. The situation gets worse when hopelessness prevails at the place. Only, one of the survivors wants to live a meaningful life, away from all the apathy, as she could see hope. But, the situation outside is all the more worse. The Divide is a film which tests the conscience of humanity in the face of destruction.
