The Haunting Of Pearson Place

The life has never been balanced for Gwen and her husband Steven. They were successfully married, had a healthy relationship, a bright career and everything that a couple in love would ask for.

Now their life is trading disbelief, some contempt and no satisfaction. Their marriage is spiraling down the break-up lane. Can they do something about it? The Haunting of Pearson Place sees them taking a chance when they decide to move place, and build their relationship once again. They move to a small town and amidst the consensual haunting stories about the Victorian house, they acquire it. Their self-belief that they can restore the house and their relationship is deep, which does not let them see the history of the haunted house they have moved into. It turns out that this house was used as an infirmary for the soldiers returning from World War I.

They decide to use the place as a small guest house that deals mainly in overnight accommodation, like a B&B. Little do they realize of the impending horror that is about to befall them. The previous residents of Pearson Place have a story to tell and the now dead soldiers further implicate things. The couple is left wondering and gasping at the horror that unfolds in front of their eyes. The film is visually stunning and the pace is relentless. The terror looms throughout, even when the couple is doing their daily chores. It’s an outstanding attempt at the horror genre, which is now so widely used.
