The High Cost Of Living

A young woman named Nathalie was eight months pregnant, when she bumped into a stranger. Left recklessly by husband Michel, she was walking down a busy street, when a distinguished and unknown man, mistakenly hit her. Fearing the outcome of this accident or perhaps considering it an incident of shame, the man escapes the scene.

Being noticed by no more than two to three people, this man escaped with no feeling of guilt. When Nathalie was restored back to her senses, she had lost almost all hopes to live. She had lost the baby in her womb and she had become unconscious. She could hardly remember the attacker’s face and grew pale with grief. Unmoved by the whole incident, Michel worsened it for her, by not rendering her a shoulder to cry on. Perhaps he grew furious at her carelessness. The movie shows what it really takes to live, when you’ve lost it all. Time passed by and Nathalie was trying to survive in the harsh world that the stranger had inevitably created for her. She had lost all her hopes to live, when she encounters a man named Henry.

This man, supposedly, bore all the qualities that Nathalie had always expected of Michel. He seemed one of a kind to her, and thought of him as a sparkling gem, perhaps a gift from God to put an end to her grief. Henry felt likewise, but the climax of this film is seriously incredible. There is something fishy about this sugar-coated man! What could it be? Find out!
