The Off Hours

The Off Hours revolves around the character Francine, and her not-so-interesting lifestyle. It’s the time slot between 7 – 11 pm of the day that attracts several insatiable bellies to the highway restaurant where Francine works.

This twenty-something woman, has, in fact, nothing substantial in her life that she can call her very own. Ripped often by casual acquaintances that comprise of her new customers and rare repetitions, she is teetering on the edge of a breakdown, which is indeed a big reason to worry. But then, all of a sudden, things begin to change. She feels as if she is the luckiest person in the world. It’s perhaps the very first time in her life that she is able to sense and feel emotions, as if the world, all of a sudden, has come to life. What follows her reason of attaining a high level of satisfaction is a new visitor in her cafe. Soon, this new visitor starts visiting the restaurant where she works on a regular basis. Who is he?

An ex-banker and now a driver, this man is somebody who has brought along with him, endless rays of hope for Francine. Although she’s a victim of her ordinary and very monotonous lifestyle, it’s this new regular who makes her believe that it’s worth trying to lead a life of her own, the way she wants it to be!
