The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is the third movie in the Twilight franchise. Based on Stephenie Meyer’s book series by the same name, this one has certainly surpassed its predecessors. The story is a concoction of human – vampire relationship, tussle between vampire and werewolves, and the united stand of vampires and werewolves against an imminent danger.

The film encompasses several intriguing sequences, each holding on to your attention and carrying you within its sway towards a dramatic culmination. Right from the first scene, the film transports you into a Gnostic world, where a man is shown running frantically, trying hard to escape from a perilous situation. With a thunderous shriek, a sudden venture is made into the sprawling fields where the flowers are in full bloom.

Spotlight is then thrust on to Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson), and their attempts to sublimate their relationship into something more concrete. Bella expresses her desire to marry Edward and make her foray into the vampire family. Edward can’t imagine life without Bella, but is rather apprehensive about this transformation that would change Bella’s life forever. The strong point of the film is its script that catches up on the verve of the moment and doesn’t disappoint you as it progresses. Dialogues have the much intended effect, with the punches reflecting the very state of mind of the characters. Bella’s father (Billy Burke) is not a pleased man on seeing that his daughter is meeting quite frequently with the Cullen guy.

On his suggestion, Bella decides to meet her one-time lover Jacob (Taylor Lautner).  Wraps are finally uncovered from the inexplicable cases of people gone missing, when the sinister plot of Victoria, a vampire, is revealed. Victoria is seeking revenge from the Cullens in a bid to reciprocate what they did to her lover years ago. To get that feeling of vindication the evil-hearted vampire is busy creating an army of vampires and nurturing them for the big battle that lies ahead.

The elements of suspense, thrill and action are evident throughout the film. Meanwhile, Jacob confesses that he still loves Bella, though she tries her best to spurn his offers.  As Victoria targets Bella, something that would cause double whammy to the vampire clan, the situation demands the coming together of vampires and werewolves. This, for a moment, results in a ceasefire between Edward and Jacob as well, as they embark upon a joint mission against the army of Volturi (led by Dakota Fanning).

The real confrontation gives you an edge-of-the-seat drama, with the fight sequences sending chills down one’s spine. The wolves seem eerily real, as also the army of blood-seeking vampires. The D-day puts an end to the evil intentions of Victoria, even as it compels both Bella and Edward to start thinking about a future marriage.
