Sometimes, silence says it all. For about a good thirty to forty minutes, Wall-E plays silently, with intermittent squeaks, wails, beeps and chirps. Throughout the silence, you understand the robot and the cockroach better than you would, if they had talked in human language. You reach Axiom in space, while you hear speaking voices, and that is when you notice the silence you have been living under up until then.

It’s a brilliant movie, to say the least! A few words can’t define the imaginative and creative minds responsible for Wall-E. I can say that the film excels at all levels, be it animation, visual, sound, music or story. I can also say that after watching it once, I got so enthralled that I watched it again.

But, no matter what I say, Wall-E’s impression and charm will continue to put my statements under bad light: that they couldn’t properly bring out the real emotions! The theme of this animated film directed by Andrew Stanton and produced by Pixar, can be hailed as a sci-fi adventure. But, it has a romance that, although played by machines, exceeds so much of one by humans, that you start wondering, if robots do have such emotions.

And actually, they do! When humans made robots and left them on Earth to clean up the debris, while they zoomed around in Hover chairs in space, a robot named Wall-E survived. He developed an unknown affinity towards living things. He gawks at a couple on TV, holding hands in intimacy. He even attempts to live that ‘feeling’ once, on meeting Eve. Moreover, he treasures a small green plant in his bag, which is the only living thing amidst the pile of debris he collects and stores.

It’s impressive, how the directors can portray such emotions that look so much real even with all the machines and technologies around. It’s great, and it’s powerful. If Wall-E won the Academy Awards for best animation film, it wasn’t any bit surprise but, a small way of showing reverence to such brilliant artistic minds at work. If it broke all previous records at box office, it is nothing but, a small pay-off for some tough hours invested in its production.

Wall-E is a film that will be viewed by people of all ages. It has the power to thrill and excite viewers, just as it would a kid. It also has a love story, that many romantic couples would follow and make notes of few things they can do while dating their Valentines. In nutshell, it is a fine concoction of all human emotions. Live it the way you want to!
