Port Gamble, in Washington, is a small desolate town, the residents of which are struggling through the most difficult phase of their life. The invasion of Iraq by America has spurred mayhem over the entire town, and everything seems to be going haywire.
It is no longer possible to fish at the local harbor, as a result of it having dried up. The local businesses are suffering, and most of them are shutting down. Everyone seems to be blaming the other, as a wave of xenophobia spreads through the locals. Meanwhile, two youngsters come back home to Port Gamble for their holidays. The first is a pretty young girl of Middle-Eastern descent, Frida (Janette Armand). Frida has returned from her college and intends to pass the summer working at the local diner owned by her father. She’s shocked by the way people are treating her, thinking of her to be an Iranian girl with terrorist links. The other visitor is Tom (Doug Fahl), who had left the town years ago. He’s now skeptical about how his mother will react on seeing him. He is gay, and has a boyfriend named Lance (Cooper Hopkins). He intends to introduce Lance to his mother and is hoping for her approval.
However, all signs of normalcy vanish in moments from the lives of each resident of Port Gamble, when a zombie is discovered by a blind man on the beach. It turns out that there are many more like it hovering around the city, and all that they want is human flesh. The residents, who just moments back couldn’t stand as much as the sight of one another, are forced to unite and chalk out a plan by which they can fight this ghastly invasion. As you watch this movie, stay braced for gore, horror and terror at their crescendo!
